HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BUSINESS IN THREE WORDS?

Vintage Modern Slow-Fashion

WHAT OR WHO INSPIRES YOU?

I’m very inspired by the processes that were so common in the past — hand-sewing methods and the aesthetic of vintage floral fabrics. I’m very inspired by the color palettes of my fabrics as well. I want to bring a vintage aesthetic into the modern fashion marketplace in a way that is new and unique.

WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS?

One of my constant goals is to be a conscious global citizen — I want my business to leave a positive imprint on the community and world around me, so I am always looking for ways to reduce waste and promote an attitude shift towards more conscious fashion choices. I employ 2 women in my community as seamstresses, and all of the accessories you see at Lindsay Brook have been handmade by me or my seamstresses here in Alabama. I am so grateful that I get the opportunity to not only do something I love every day, but that I also have the opportunity to provide employment to others.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SEASON?

Summer! I hate to be cold.
