Pre-Loved Clothing Pop-Up // Tuesday, January 24 from 11a-4p

Join us for our second Freehand Pre-Loved Pop-up Event on Tuesday January 24th from 11am-4pm at The Annex at Freehand (It's right next door)!

Local community vendors will be on hand with pre-loved items from their closet including vintage, name brand, and handmade apparel items, shoes, accessories and art.

Intro to Watercolor // Saturday, February 11 from 3-5pm

In this class you will receive step by step instruction on how to draw and paint your own watercolor (past designs have included a heron and a monstera leaf)!

All supplies will be provided, and Lauren will walk you through how to to create your own 6x9 painting you get to take home. In this fun and approachable workshop, you will learn how to get started with watercolor painting and applying watercolor washes. By following along with what you learn you will know how to create great looking watercolor paintings at the end of the course that you will be proud to hang on the wall.

Lauren Bass is a watercolor, ink artist and printmaker based in Durham, NC. She started Domestic Doodles during the pandemic as a house portrait business, and now also offer pet portraits, botanical paintings, and custom paw-print stamps! You can often find her with her own pups - Lana and Mugsy - or teaching a Paint Your Pet class at a local brewery.

Creative Candle Making // Sunday, February 12 from 2-4pm

In this class, you'll learn about the materials used to make soy container candles and several fragrance-blending frameworks. With all materials provided--including a wonderful selection of autumn-themed fragrances--you'll then create two original scent blends and pour two of your own candles using these blends!

Since candles need a couple of hours to cool, your creations will be ready to take home later in the day of the workshop. Please feel free to bring a beverage to enjoy while we create!

This class is taught by Erin Hils, the candlemaker behind the local brand Reverie + Felicity Studio.

She is a chandler and creative of more than a decade. Through Reverie + Felicity Studio, Erin offers candles and kits featuring original scent blends she formulated to enhance and inspire your creative moments. She loves introducing folks to the fun of candle making, sharing in the joy of communal creating and believes everyone has creative gifts to discover and take pleasure in. If you're curious about candle making, this hands-on experience is a robust but accessible way to get in touch with your creativity.

Houseplant Care for Beginners // Wednesday, March 8 from 6-7:30pm

Join us for this introduction into houseplant care where host and teacher Carey encourages you to step into your HOUSEPLANT QUEEN ERA!

In this class you will learn the basics of houseplant care, a few hacks to make it easy, best plants for various light sources, and by the end of it we will have demystified houseplants once and for all.

Each participant will also repot a small plant to take home with them to begin their houseplant care journey.
